Who is behind this?

I am Chris. I have been around animals my whole life, and horses for most of it. Spending time at stables, what I kept seeing was the admin: a wormer given twice because two people each thought the other had not, a passport nobody could find the morning the lorry was loading, a vet asking when the last dose was and four people half remembering. The horses were looked after. The record of them was in a WhatsApp group, a diary in the tack room and somebody's head. I am building Stableside so all of that lives in one app, you hold it, and the people doing the work can reach it.

When can I use it?

Now, on Android. Stableside is in open testing on Google Play — install it, add a horse and start recording. On iPhone it runs in a browser at stableside.app/app today, and the App Store version is next; leave your address and you get one message the day it lands.

How many horses can it hold?

As many as you keep. Each horse gets their own history, and the home screen lists them all.

Which phones does it run on?

Android, from Google Play, in open testing now. It also runs in any browser, on a phone or a laptop, which is how it works on an iPhone until the App Store version is out.

Does it track rides?

No. Stableside is for health and admin. Tracking apps already do the riding half well.

Who can see my horses?

Only the people you let in: your stable staff, a sharer, your vet, your farrier. Each one gets their own level of access, and you can remove anyone in one tap.

What happens with no signal?

The app says it plainly: “No signal. Your entry is saved here and will send when you're back.”

Can a vet's entry be changed?

No. It stays exactly as they wrote it. A correction is added next to the original and both stay visible.

What will it cost?

Nothing, for now. There is no way to pay at all while Stableside is in open testing, so everything in the table above is free to use today. There is a free tier that stays free; the other prices are what it is expected to cost at launch and they can still change.
